In addition to over 20 years of practical experience working in the equestrian industry, I have a BTEC Advanced Diploma in Equine Nursing, BHS Stages 1-3, Certification in Equine Kinesio Taping and am to complete further studies in Equine Biomechanics. I join Equine Rebalance Therapy Centre from an equine rehabilitation yard in Sussex where I was the yard manager and operated their Activo-Med water treadmill for rehabilitation & performance clients for the last 3 years.
I have worked in a variety of disciplines and yards, including running my own livery yard and it has always been the veterinary/rehabilitation side that interests me the most.
I enjoy being part of the horses journey to fitness or back to work after an injury, from a horse that has been successful in being selected to compete for their country at the height of its career through to riding club and hacking. They all matter and deserve the best they can get. Watching a horse on the treadmill is never boring, they are all different and it gives us, the riders, a chance to see how the horses back really moves.
